MYOCARDIAL TME STIMULATION CABLES
Temporary myocardial leads (TMEs, pacing leads, cardiac leads) are designed for temporary pacing of patients after open chest cardiac surgery. TMEs bind to the myocardial wall of the atrium (s), and / or the ventricle (s). With the thoracic needle at the opposite end of the pacing lead, the lead is guided through the chest out of the patient. Fixation in cardiac tissue can be achieved with a selection of different types of anchoring mechanisms that are inserted and pulled through the myocardium with the help of a small needle, or attached with sutures. Cardiac pacing with TME can be performed through the right and / or left atrium (bi-atrial pacing) and the right ventricle, or both ventricles (CRT / biventricular pacing).
